Week #39- May 25, 2026

The Big Push!

As we enter single digits in days left of the school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate all of the growth, learning, and accomplishments our students have achieved this year. It has been wonderful to watch students grow academically, socially, and emotionally while building lasting relationships and memories along the way.

Even with summer right around the corner, we encourage all students to continue finishing strong by showing positive behavior, putting forth their best effort, and staying engaged through the final days of school. These last days together are meaningful and filled with opportunities for celebration, reflection, and community.

We also encourage families to take a few moments to explore the resources and links included in this newsletter to learn more about summer opportunities available for students and families. Summer reading, community programs, camps, and learning activities can be a great way to keep students active, connected, and learning throughout the break.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support throughout this school year. Your involvement, communication, and encouragement have made a tremendous difference in helping our students succeed. We are proud of all that our students have accomplished and look forward to finishing the year together on a positive note!

Breaking News!  Our 5th Grade Challenge students are WORLD CHAMPIONS!  That’s right, the DC Currents made up of Isaac Butler, Dominic Zimbro, Marcus Boatner, and Eivin White took home 1st place in the Elementary Division at the World KidWind Solar Competition in Madison, Wisconsin.  This is a huge accomplishment and we want to congratulate them.  MES is so proud! Thank you as well to Mrs. Iwanicki for giving them the opportunity.  It is sure to be a core memory!
